Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

We have all seen movies where we are implored “Not to give away the ending.” I must say that this film was so confusing, I think few people leaving the theater would even be capable of
“Giving a way the secrets even if they tried. If fact, one of the mysteries was how the editor even kept track of the hundreds of scenes in this film.
 
Is there a weak link in the “Circus” (The MI5), and if so, who is the trader. Control (Herd) he assigns Jim Prideaux (Mark Strong) to go to Budapest and talk to a Hungarian general who claims to know the mole’s identity may be a possible defector. We watch the two meet over coffee in a tense that gives a careful viewer clues, that indicate this is all about to go very wrong.  
 
But as in each scene in this film, we are given parts of the story, and we learn more when these scenes are replayed in flash backs, with different point’s of view, alternate angles.
We are never quite sure who to trust, or even what information is true or false.
This makes  “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” an interesting film, but also a very confusing one.  If fact at times I felt I needed to jot things down, that it was more of a Logic puzzle than a film.
 
Even the web site is a mystery.
